We have spent long hours working and researching to improve our Curriculum, since this is the area that we focus on the most. After exploring the existing curriculum at length with our teachers and many other experienced educators in the field, as well by drawing comparisons with the Tustin School District curriculum and standards together with other leading private schools in the area, we have formulated a plan to include additional tools and materials to upgrade our program.

These include more Language & Literacy programs by some of the leaders in the industry A-Beka, ZOO-PHONICS and SCHOLASTICS and their popular “Read-Alouds”, “Phonemic Awareness Programs”, “Rhymes & Poetry”, Flash cards, Audio tapes and age appropriate books. We ‘re incorporating daily audiotapes to guide children in learning their phonics, vowels as well as numbers. Also, we are including additional Math & Concepts, Science, Social Studies in the form of hands on activities as well as standard written and learning exercises.

As we move on, we are continuing to learn and work more to include different methods to improve and strengthen our curriculum and to ensure that our students receive a well rounded academic and social program here at Newport Ave Preschool & Kindergarten that would in turn prepare them for the years of learning ahead. We will continue to search for ways to make learning more stimulating and progressive and to assist in their growth at all levels.
